About Scott
Scott Green has lived in Madison County for over 45 years. He was educated, met his wife, and raised children here. He has practiced family medicine locally for nearly 34 years, building and running his group practice. He served as medical director for Anderson University for 25 years, and his small business provided health care at the Madison County Jail for 18 years. He has owned and operated several local business, in addition to serving on the Anderson Community Schools Board of Trustees as well as at the state level on the Indiana Medical License Board.
Through his experience, he has learned the wisdom of seeking to understand before needing to be understood. He also values the discipline in research, study, and reflection to build that understanding. Scott is known to be consistent in showing up and carrying out responsibilities and cultivates team building in providing the best decision making. He considers public service both an honor and a responsibility and is seeking the at-large position on the Madison County Council.
Scott has the personal, business, and community background to engage effectively on the Council. He believes in striving for balance in fiscal responsibility that provides for the efficient and effective use of taxpayer dollars, while also ensuring the quality of service and support for those providing these services. He is committed to serving with integrity and availability, bringing with him the knowledge collected over his years of experience.
